Dasari Narayana Rao’s prestigious 150th movie 'Parama Veera Chakra' was awarded U/A certificate by Censor Board. The film members appreciated the rating of censor board. C Kalyan is the producer the movie on the banner of Teja Cinema.
Balakrishna plays dual role in the movie. Amisha Patel, Neha Dhupia and Sheela pair opposite Balayya. Mani Sharma is music director. The movie will hit theatres on January 12.
As this movie is slated for Jan 12th release it has to sustain T-activity and Mirapakaya too which is also going to be released on the same day. Balayya has got some good openings in Pongal season so he's also expecting this movie works out well in this season.

Naga Chaitanya film release further delayed !

It is known that Naga Chaitanya is currently doing a film yet to be titled officially with director Sukumar under the banner Geeta Arts. Bunny Vasu is producing this youthful love story and Tamanna is playing the female lead in the flick. The movie which was supposed to release in the month of December was initially postponed to January but now, it was postponed again to March. The postponement is due to the crisis in tollywood.
Talking about the release date Naga Chaitanya says, “ The film was initially supposed to release in December. But, due to some date issues and technical problems, it got postponed. Now, we are planning to release it in March.”

There is a buzz that the film is titled as ‘I Love You’ , but it is to be confirmed officially.

Nag's Damarukam to go on sets from Feb 12

With recent hit talk of Ragada Nagarjuna once again proved that December is lucky for him.  Ragada is said to be making steady collections at Box-Office in this season .
Coming to the Nagarjuna’s next flick Damarukam which will be directed by Srinivas Reddy of Yama Gola Malli Modalaindi fame and produced by Venkat under the banner RR Movie Makers. The film will be a comedy entertainer with socio-fantasy touch. Anushka is pairing up with Nag in this film again after Ragada.

Prabhas 'Rebel' to have regular shooting from Jan 2nd

As said by the producers Prabhas new film 'Rebel' is all set to commence its regular shooting from 2nd January. Rebel is said to be an action packed entertainer with all necessary commercial elements and produced with high budget and high technical standards.

Anushka is pairing up with Prabhas for the second time after Billa. Rebel will be directed by Lawrence and produced by J Bhagavan and J Pulla Rao under Sri Balaji Cine Media banner and the music for the film has was given by Thaman.

India wins second test - Levels 3 test series (1-1)

India defeated South Africa in the second Test match here in Durban , South Africa by 87 runs on Wednesday and leveled the three-match test series one all.
South Africa started its fourth day innings requiring 303 for a win was bundled out for a total of 215. Indian bowlers did the job by collapsing all wickets of SA (Zaheer Khan took three for 57 runs, S. Sreesanth also took three for 45 runs, Harbhajan Singh with two for 70 and Ishant Sharma with a wicket for 36) were instrumental . Srikanth as 'Virodhi'

As Srikanth starrer 'Ranga The Donga' is gearing up for its release on 30th December which is the only release for Srikanth in 2010. The Hero now signs for a new film with director Neelakanta. Earlier director Neelakanta worked for films like Show, Missamma, Sadha Mee Sevalo and his last directorial Mr.Medhavi was released in 2007 but failed to create a mark at Box-Office. Now he is back in Tollywood after a long gap. Neelakanta will direct a film soon with Srikanth which is reportedly titled as Virodhi. Virodhi is said to be a story with the backdrop of naxalism wherein Srikanth will be seen as Journalist. Director Gowtam Menon’s earlier straight film in telugu was 'Ye Maya Chesave' which gave break to Naga Chaitanya and also gave row of opportunitiess to new star Samantha. Now Gautam Vasudev Menon is planning to do a movie with actor Ram as the lead. This movie is said to be a youthful romantic entertainer.
AR Rehman is expected to compose music to this untitled movie. Vallabhaneni Ashok who is producing (Erra Gulabilu -directed by Gautam Menon starring Samantha and Sameera Reddy) is the producer of Ram’s film.

Bollywood superstar  Salman Khan was born on Dec 27th, 1965. He made his screen debut in 1988 with the film Biwi Ho To Aisi. The Audio of the music of the film Kudirithe kappu coffee composed by Yogeshwar Sharma has been launched through Aditya Music at a function held at Club Jayabheri in Hyderabad which was attended by tollywood celebrities and the entire cast and crew of the film.

Censor Board's objection for a Scene in Trailer

Vishnu is the producer and hero of his latest film 'Vastaadu Naa Raju'. Vasthadu Naa Raju starring Vishnu Manchu and Tapasee has run into trouble with the Censors  Board 's objecteion to a trailer of the movie where heroine Taapsee’s navel is exposed. Taapsee wears gagra choli in that particular song in which navel is exposed in close up which caused objection from censor board. This song was picturised  in Venice.
Vishnu challenged the decision of censor board and posted the trailer in YouTube. Vishnu asks for viewers discretion whether there in any thing wrong in the song. His last film Saleem despite liberal expose of hot Ileana failed to attract audience. Actor-producer Vishnu Manchu was upset with the Censors' objection, as the song was shot in Venice on a high budget. Tollywood circles were also confused with the objection for a navel shot, as numerous Tollywood movies featured similar scenes.

Farah Khan offer for Akshay Kumar!

It seems that Farah Khan is planning a sequel to Akshay Kumar-starrer “Tees Maar Khan”, which already hit the screens on Friday 24th. It is likely that Akshay Kumar will be given another chance to act in her sequel. This became evident when Farah and Katrina went to shoot the grand finale of STAR Plus’s cookery game show ‘MasterChef India’. she was so impressed with Akshay’s hospitality that she ended up offering ‘Tees Maar Khan 2' to the actor,” said a source.
Akshay, of course expressed his joy at the same moment!
The finale of “MasterChef India” will be aired Saturday.

'No One Killed Jessica' gets A certification

Censor board has awarded the A-certificate to “No One Killed Jessica”  which was  based on a real murder. This movie was okayed by the censor board without any cuts. Movie makers hailed the decision of the censor board saying that they were happy because they will be now  able to take the actual story to the audience .
 Vikas Behl, a senior official of UTV(which  produced the film)  commented hats off to the censor board for their decision.
“No One Killed Jessica” directed by Rajkumar Gupta is based on ramp model Jessica Lall’s murder case. Vidya Balan will be playing the role of Jessica’s sister Sabrina who fought for justice of her sister. Rani rani mukherjee plays a role of journalist in the film.
The movie cleared several restrictions posed by different members like former top cop Amodh Kanth who urged the censor board to ensure that only facts relating to the Jessica Lall murder case should be presented in “No One Killed Jessica”. He was the joint commissioner of police (southern range) when Jessica was shot dead in a night club by Manu Sharma, the son of a Haryana politician in 1999. Manu Sharma was given  a life sentence verdict by the Supreme Court.

This movie is set to release on Jan 7th.

Tollywood's romantic hero Nagarjuna’s Ragada and Kamal Hassan’s Manmadha Banam are now listing in many theatres in AP which were released on December 23rd. Although Ragada has an edge over Manmadha Banam in AP due to strong mass appeal of Nagarjuna. we can’t completely write off Manmadha Banam as Kamal Haasan enjoys a good market in Telugu too.

Akkineni invites AP CM

 Dada Saheb Phalke Award winner Akkineni Nageshwara Rao and his son Nagarjuna had visited the  Secretariat to meet Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy in his office in the C block and invited him to chair as the chief guest for the Akkineni National Award function to be held on January 11. CM had agreed to participate in the function upon the request made by them. When asked about who would be awarded on his name Akkineni  responded that this year's award goes to popular film maker K. Balachandar.

Rajni’s elder daughter Aishwarya is married to Dhanush, another Kollywood hero; the couple has two sons: Yatra and Linga. His second daughter Soundarya is into graphics and designing. She has set up her own company Ocher Studios in Chennai. Soundarya’s very first project is an animation movie Sultan featuring the Superstar in an animation role. While Soundarya worked on the framework of Sultan’s hero, the Superstar participated in the shoot and acted under his daughter’s direction. Soundarya Rajinikath is married to industrialist Ashwin Kumar. His latest release was Enthiran, directed by Shankar, is the costliest Indian film ever made. And for the first time Aishwarya Rai Bachchan teamed up with Superstar in this technical wonder. It shattered all the records ever set by an Indian Cinema and depicted the standard of Indian Cinema.

Nenu Naa Rakshasi to be released for Sankranti

Daggubati Rana-Ileana starrer 'Nenu Naa Rakshasi' directed by Puri Jagannath is being planned for release on Sankranti festival day i.e on January 14, 2011. This movie is described as a romantic action thriller as Rana playing the role of an assassin. This is Rana’s second film after his successful debut in Leader directed by Sekhar Kammula. The film is being produced by Nallamalapu Srinivas (Bujji) under the banner of Lakshmi Narasimha Productions.  Music has been composed by Vishal Shekar, Bappy Lahari and Viswa. The Audio of the film will be released in the market on December 14.

'Magadheera' crosses 500 Days Mark

Tollywood's  block buster  “Magadheera” completed a successful run for 500 days on 12th dec. It made both th director (Rajamouli) as well as producer (Allu Aravind) overhelm with joy. Mega fans are celebrating it in a grand style at Lakshmi theatre for running their favorite star Ram Charan’s movie “Magadheera” for 500 days successfully. It had  created a record in that particular theatre as no other film has run for an year and above . This record is going to be unbeaten until the other movie would break the records set by “Magadheera”.

Nagavalli's Overseas rights bagged by 'Blue Sky cinema'

Victory Venkatesh’s most awaited supernatural thriller, a sequel of Chandramukhi in telugu directed by P. Vasu is going to be released for this december. It's overseas rights was bagged by Blue Sky cinema. Starring Venkatesh and Anushka are in leading roles followed by Richa, Priyamani, Vimala Raman, Kamalini Mukharjee, Poonam Kaur, Shradda Das and Bramhanandam. Music was composed by Guru Kiran. Movie is set for global release on Dec 16th with premiere shows on Dec 15th but unexpected tug of war between Producers Council and Workers Federation poses a dilemma on release date.

Prakash Raj's Second marriage Registered

CineActor Prakash Raj had earlier marrried Lalitha Kumari who was the sister of Disco Shanti (wife of actor Sri Hari) on December 25th , 1994.  Prakash Raj was able to get  divorce from her after a prolonged battle in court. Now he had second marriage with  choreographer Pony Varma which was registered in Hyderabad.
Pony Varma choreographed most of the films directed by Priyadarshan. Her name was registered as Reshmi Varma in the marriage certificate. Making  Hyderabad  as their home place the couple will work for movies by shuttling between Mumbai, Chennai and Hyderabad  work areas.

Tollywood industry under Crisis

Tollywood industry is in crisis situation as the Producers council called for halt of all the cine activities. We knew that the incident between stunt men of Telugu and Tamil film fields on the sets of Kandireega made the Telugu Film Producers Council call for a one day strike. The Council  called the stunt men unions for discussions but the Federation of cine workers is reportedly seeking settlement of all other related issues related to workers. As a result big releases for this month  (Venkatesh’ Nagavalli, Ravi Teja’s Mirapakaya and Nagarjuna’s Ragada) are facing release troubles. However  it seems that the shootings  cancellation may continue few more days until all the issues related to workers are settled.

Nagarjuna to take up Rajanna

With his recent completion of the movie 'Ragada'  Nagarjuna is now ready to participate actively in shooting  for 'Rajanna' film unit from tomorrow. The film was officially launched in September and will start his shooting from  tomorrow.  A model Telangana Village setup was built for this film under the supervision of Art director Ravi. Sneha will be playing the female lead role for the film. Producer of 'Rajanna' is the hero himself ( Nagarjuna) and will be picturised under the banner of Annapurna Studios. The theme of the movie is based on a story of a freedom fighter who fights against Razakars during the Nizam’s era.

Ram Charan gets ready to deal 'Merupu'

Ram Charan Tej enjoyed the gap given by Orange and is now back in Hyderabad . Charan is said to be busy working in gym to shape his body to suite for Merupu film. His next film Merupu is set to go on-floors in a week’s time and Cherry plays the role of a football player in Merupu. This movie will be directed by Tamil director Dharani. Search for an Artist who will look strong for Coach role is still going on. Latest update is that the Bollywood actor Nana Patekar has more chances of bagging this role.

Deepika Padukone expressed her wish to act with three top stars

 Having being successfully casted in Nine Bollywood films during the past Four years, Bollywood Actress Deepika Padukone seems to be now looking forward to pair with Bollywood Superstars Hrithik Roshan, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan.
Deepika Padukone emerged as top heroine  in Bollywood with the movie 'Om Shanti Om' co-starring Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan and Arjun Rampal. She was later seen in various other movies sharing the silver screen with Bollywood Actors Akshay Kumar & Saif Ali Khan. After her two back to back releases 'Break Ke Baad' and 'Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey', Deepika Padukone recently said in an interview “I am looking forward to working with Aamir, Salman and Hrithik ”. Saif Ali Khan & Aishwarya Rai to perform together ?

Director Vishal Bharadwaj impressed Aishwarya Rai with his script and asked Aish to act in his film . He has been trying to work with Ash for the last 14 years but things did not work out till now. Sometimes,  Aishwarya Rai Bachchan cites  problem of busy schedule or very often the script failed to impress her. But this time Vishal’s script has won over the actress’s heart and she has said yes to the project. If all goes well then soon we will get to see the two most popular actors of Bollywood sharing screen space i.e stunning Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and handsome Saif Ali Khan.  If this turns Yes then it'll be the first time that Saif and Ash will share screen space.

Hero Srikanth and Tarun to act together

Debutant director Ashok Alle will direct a movie with  Srikanth and Tarun in lead roles for a movie titled 'Anucharudu'. This is for the first time where srikanth and Tarun are performing together. This movie has Praveen Bala as the producer. New comer Jasmine will be playing the lead female role.  Minister for Cinematography D K Aruna attended for the launching  ceremony held at hyderabad on December 8th along with director Boyapati Srininvas .
Hero Srikanth said that the director had worked out a good script and Tarun said that he is feeling happy to share the screen with Srikanth . He said  "We played cricket together on many ocassions and  we are acting together for the first time".

Mahesh Out of '3 Idiots' remake?

The suspense continues over 3 Idiots Telugu remake whether actor Mahesh is in / out of the project. Most of the sources say that Mahesh opts to stay away from this '3 Rascals'. On the other hand, Vijay who is supposed to play main lead in Tamil version too dropped out of it.
Now, Shankar is in wild search for an apt replacement  into Telugu and Tamil remakes. As per the latest updates, Shankar is trying for Surya to perform in both the languages. He is also considering Ajith Kumar in this role.

'Manmadha Banam' slated to release on DEC 17th

Kamal Haasan’s latest Tamil film 'Manmadhan Ambu' that is dubbed in telugu is given the title 'Manmadha Banam' and is scheduled to release on December 17.  The movie rights in telugu version is bagged by Lakshmi Ganapathi Films .
The film is produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin and directed by K.S. Ravi Kumar. Devi Sri Prasad scored some nice numbers for this film. The film stars Madhavan, Trisha and Sangeetha in major roles. Kamal Haasan plays a private detective who will be hired by Madhavan to test his love affair with Trisha. Audio launch in Telugu version will be done soon.

'Nagavalli' team celebrates double platinum disc function

The double platinum disc function of Nagavalli  was held at Cinemax on Monday. K. Raghavendra Rao was the chief guest and he presented the first memento to Venkatesh on token of sales of Audio cassetes. Director Vasu, producer Bellamkonda Suresh, Venkatesh, Anushka, Shraddha Das, Kamalini Mukherjee, Richa gangopadhyay,  Boyapati Srinu, Paruchuri Brother Raghavendra Rao, Chandrabose and others attended the event.Producer Bellamkonda Suresh shared few words on the dias . He said "songs have come out very well. Venkatesh will play dual roles i.e as  a king as well as a doctor. The best part about Nagavalli is that there are no heroines. All the heroine characters in the film share equally substantial roles".

New Version on Pawan Kalyan's Jesus Christ ?

It was believed that Power Star would appear as Jesus Christ in the film written by J.K Bharavi and as of now it's heard that the actor would rather appear as a  director but not as Jesus Christ!
According to latest version the film revolves around a popular director who is shooting a film on the life of Jesus Christ with a few children. In this process the director comes to know about the greatness and facts about Jesus Christ. Greatly moved by such facts in  the life of Jesus Christ, the director finally changes his religion and becomes as a Christain. It is directed by Singeetham Srinivasa Rao and produced by Konda Krishnamraju under the banner of Aditya Productions, the film is reportedly titled " Traffic Jam ".

Comedy Movies battle in Bollywood

Anees Bazmi's "No Problem" could pose a good competition  to Yashraj's Film "Band Baaja Baaraat" , as both the films are slated to release on December 10th. But what remains as a question is that who wins this battle of the comedies.
When asked about this clash director Anees said "I won't believe in lucky dates, but I do believe in commitments. We had decided to release 'No Problem' on Dec 10th long ago and  I have three releases next year, so I should  get the film out of the way this year. We worked hard for the speedy  finish of 'No Problem' and announced  release date months ago. It was only later we heard Band Baja Baaraat is going to come on the same date" .
This is not the first time in bollywood that a clash arise between two big-budget films. "Gol Maal 2" and "Action Replayy" were previous ones that were released on Diwali this year and one of them had to go out of race.
Produced by Anil Kapoor, the star-cast of "No Problem" includes Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt, Akshay Khanna, Sunil Shetty, Kangana Ranaut, Sushmita Sen and Paresh Rawal. While "Band Baaja Baraat" features Anushka Sharma with newcomer Ranvir Singh.

Siddhath's 'Anaganaga O Dheerudu' Trailer launched

Hollywood Production house Walt Disney’s first Telugu movie 'Anaganaga O Dheerudu' trailer was launched here on Saturday at Cinemax Theatre, Hyderabad. Prominent personalities like Rama Naidu, K Raghavendra Rao, Suresh Babu, Shyam Prasad Reddy, KL Narayana Rao, Ganaraju Gunnam, KS Rama Rao, SS Rajamouli etc attended the event.
Anaganaga O Dheerudu is directed by Prakash Rao. Other cast members like Lakshmi Prasanna and Shruti Haasan who were present at the event. Coming to the details of the film 'Anaganaga O Dheerudu', it is a socio-fantasy film and first one to be done by Siddharth under this category. Shruti Hassan does the leading female role beside Siddharth. Cinematography was done by Soundar Rajan. MM Keeravani, Saleem – Suleiman, Koti and Mickey J Meyer scored music. The visual effects had been done by Firefly, EFX, Pixelloid and Labyrinth animation institutes. The movie is said to be a Graphical wonder that has graphical standards equivalent to Hollywood. The movie is expected to release this next month.

Hero Srikanth to do a movie with Director Neelakanta

National Award winning director Neelakanta will direct Srikanth for a movie yet to be titled. The script was so convincing that the actor and his brother Anil Kumar said ok produce it under the banner of Meka Movies. The film will go on floors sometime in the first quarter of next year.
After'Ranga the Donga' Srikanth will be in shooting for Posani Krishna Murali’s 'Dussasana'. The combo worked earlier for 'Operation Duryodhana'. The actor’s latest film 'Ranga The Donga' is ready to release this week.
