Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, an Institute of National importance, is looking for suitable person for the following post:

• Assistant Librarian (3 Posts- 1 reserved for OBC and 2 for Unreserved).
• Qualification & Experience :
• Master's degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation or an equivalent professional degree with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven point scale plus a consistently good academic record. At least 7 years experience in a responsible capacity in a University level Library. Candidates should be familiar with usage of Library software and have experience in library computerisation. OR
• Master's degree in Arts/Science/Commerce or equivalent degree with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade with Bachelor's degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentations or an equivalent professional degree with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade plus a consistently good academic record. At least 7 years experience in a responsible capacity in a University level Library. Candidates should be familiar with usage of Library software and have experience in library computerisation.
• Pay Band : [PB-3] Rs. 15600-39100 + Rs. 6000/- (Academic Grade pay) (Total emoluments on the minimum of the Pay Band is approx. Rs. 37,448/- excluding HRA).
• Age limit : Preferably below 40 years.
• Last Date: 04.07.2011
