Eamcet on May 17; Ranks on June 2

Hyderabad: EAMCET- 2014 examination is scheduled to be conducted on May 17, announced the officials. Notification about the exam will be released on February 10. For engineering stream, the exam will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and for agriculture and medicine, it will be conducted between 2:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.

Applicants can start submitting application forms online from February 20 and the last date for submission of the forms without fine is April 4. For submission of forms after April 4 and till May 14, the fine amount will vary according to the date of the submission. Registration fee for online submission of forms is `200 for SC/ST and `300 for others. Any corrections in submitted online forms can be made changes between April 6 and 13. Hall tickets can be downloaded from the website from May 2 to 15.

To qualify in the examination, a candidate must secure 25 per cent of the maximum marks in EAMCET. However, for SC, ST students there are no prescribed minimum qualifying marks. Ranks in the exam will be assigned on basis of combined scores obtained by giving 75 per cent weightage to the marks secured in EAMCET and 25 percent of marks secured in relevant group subjects.

To break the tie of ranks, a special procedure will be followed to prepare merit list. Factors like total marks secured in EAMCET-2014, in Mathematics or Biology in the exam etc., will be considered. After declaration of preliminary key of the examination on May 19, ranks will be declared on June 2. In case of objections to the declared preliminary key, candidates can submit their objections by May 26.

JEE Advanced to be held on May 25

KANPUR: The Joint Entrance Exam (JEE)-Advanced will be held on May 25 and its result would be declared a month later.

IIT-Delhi would conduct the test along with six other IITs under the directives of the Joint Admission Board for admissions to the undergraduate programmes.

The students qualifying the JEE Advanced will get a chance to take admission to 16 IITs and ISM Dhanbad.
The test would be conducted for only top 1.5 lakh candidates. Based on their scores in paper-1 of JEE (Main)-2014, they will be eligible to appear in JEE (Advanced)-2014.

How to Prepare for IBPS Exams (Clerical Cadre)

Banks are like back bone of the Financial system of our country. Once the bank services were limited to the urban areas but now services are also being extended to the rural areas as the rural people are utilizing the bank services. Banks services not only limited for taking deposits and giving loans but also extending their services like insurance and others. In this process the banks are increasing the number of branches and keeping the jobs in reach for the youth.  So, for getting the Clerical jobs in banking sector youth must succeed in IBPS exams.

As lot of aged employees may retire in the near future the vacant posts also may increase in coming days so, the youth must utilize this opportunity. At present there are 19 banks under IBPS, As IBPS started in 2011 there are chances that some banks may come under IBPS in the near future adding some additional jobs to the clerical cadre. 

In this process let's see the Exam structure, preparation plan for how to get good score in IBPS exams.

The method of Written Test: Written test is conducted in objective type in online method under two hours. This has five different parts. Negative marking is 0.25 marks for every wrong answer.

Preparation Plan: There is nothing that cannot be achieved if we read with determination.Should prepare 90 days plan for this. By doing this even the aspirants who are writing for the first time can succeed.

Reasoning: This questions are given to estimate the decision taking power of the candidate. Normally reasoning questions take some extra time compared to other questions. However if the questions are practiced through tricks it is easy to answer. Topics that reasoning part contain is Analogy, Odd Man out, Syllogism, word formation, Statement and conclusions, Statement and assumptions, Statement and arguments, Passage and conclusions, Coding decoding, Blood relations, Alphabet test, Series test, Number, ranking and time sequence , Direction sense test, Sitting arrangement, Decision making, Input output, Assertion and reasoning, Figure Series, Non-Verbal Reasoning Series test, Analogy, Odd figures, Miscellaneous test. The one and only way to easily identify the answers is through practice.  

English Language: English Grammar and Root words should be practiced. Rest of the topics have Jumbled Sentences, Prepositions, Articles. With these you can score enough marks. That is why the aspirants must focus on these topics.To Develop Vocabulary take the help of Newspapers and standard English books. The basic grammar elements like Parts of speech, Active and Passive voice, Direct - Indirect speech must be practiced. If the students are not from English medium they must allot additional time for practice.

Numerical Ability: Numerical part has lot of questions from simplification. To identify the answers easily you have to gain the grip on basic foundations like Profit and loss, Simple and compound interest problems, Time and work problems, Time and distance problems, Average problems, Simplifications, Partnerships, Percentage, Ratio and proportions, Average & Ages Ratio & Proportion, Pie charts, Number system, HCF & LCM, Number series, Approximation Wrong Number, Finding next number in series, Decimal fractions, Square root and cube root, Bar graphs, Line graphs, Case study, Mensuration, Permutations and combinations, Data tables, Probability. Have to practice a lot in such a way that, you should tell answer with mouth by seeing a question. Thoroughly scroll up and down to see the questions related to simplification. Why because they may give this questions in the end.   

General Awareness: General awareness part can be divided into two groups. 1. Standard GK 2. Current Affairs. In Standard GK you Should remember the topics like Prime minister and Presidents of countries, Currencies, Capitals. Also remember the winners of Oscar, noble and other prominent awards. and in Current affairs remember the officials of International organizations, Winners in sports, Prominent guests that come to our country, Important events. You can get all these information by reading newspapers daily, also don't forget to write all these important points in a notes. Almost 20 questions may come in this paper which are related to Banking sector. For this choose standard banking awareness books, moreover you must read financial dailies. You have to gain knowledge over the continuous consequences which are taking place like (Ex: Loan rates, Chief Official's names of the Banks, Logo's etc)., the words which are used in banks and their meanings. Also know the latest banking policies, latest RBI information.

Computer Knowledge: In this paper you can get more marks in less time. First aspirants must gain knowledge over Basic Topics related to Computer. Then concentrate on Model questions. Questions are getting harder every year. So, aspirants should know about Computers and Generations, MS Word, MS Office, Database Management, Shortcut commands. Gaining knowledge of other important topics is also an added advantage.

Intermediate 2014 Practical Exams in the same old Method

Intermediate practicals exams to be conducted this year again in old method. Intermediate board has been telling since four years that we will implement jumbling system, but it looks like they were not able to implement it due to some unknown reasons. While the intermediate Public Exams (IPE -2014 ) exams scheduled from March 12 to 29 next year. Practicals are to be conducted from February 12 to March 3 next year.

AP education Dept is likely to conduct 10th exams on march 26 or 27th next year. Full schedule yet to be announced officially after taking 2014 holidays into concern. Almost 12 lakh students will attend 10th exams this time.

Final Phase Counseling on Nov 9th for B.U.M.S., B.Sc Nursing Course Admissions - NTRUHS

Dr.NTR Health University Registrar S.Babulal said that they are conducting final phase counseling on 9th of this month for B.U.M.S.(UNANI), Post Basic B.Sc Nursing courses Admissions. "Only one seat is available for B.A.M.S in Nizamia College in Hyderabad. Additional details will be updated in university website on the day before counseling starts." said Babulal.

D.Ed 2013 Counseling to start from Nov 11

The educational department finally issued schedule for the admissions into Diploma in Education(D.Ed) course. The first phase counseling to be started from 11th of this month said DIET CET chairman G.Vani mohan and convener R.Surender reddy. They also said the information related to Admissions, College lists, Details of ranks will be available on dietcet.cgg.gov.in . Candidates can give web options from 11th Nov. It is evident that over 2.71 Lakh members are waiting for the counseling from four months. Almost 30,000 seats are to be filled with D.ED counseling. Special schedule will be released for Minority colleges.

Guidelines Issued Over Fee Reimbursement

Andhra Pradesh Social Welfare department on Tuesday issued guidelines over the payment of Fee Reimbursement for the students who admitted into Vocational courses. It has been stated in G.O. that whatever might be the course fee they will only pay Rs.35,000 for Engineering, Rs.35,000 for B.Arch, Rs.27,000 for M.B.A and M.C.A, Rs.31,000 for B.Pharmacy and 68,000 for Pharma-D on the average. Full fee reimbursement is being provided to SC and ST students. Moreover Full fee reimbursement also provided to the students who got ranks under 10,000 in EAMCET.  For the students who studied under Government sponsored schemes in corporate colleges, Government colleges and Government residential colleges full fee reimbursement will be provided" mentioned J Raymond Peter, Principal Secretary of Social Welfare in G.O.

UGC NET Online Applying Date Extended to Nov 4

Government Exams department director manmadha reddy told that Tenth students can pay their exam fee without any fine until Nov 11. Thereafter student can pay "with Rs.50 late fee up to Nov 21, with Rs.200 Late fee up to Dec 2, with Rs.500 late fee up to DEC 9".

Intermediate board secretary Ramsankar nayak told that last date for the payment of exam fee have been extend to November 5, whereas earlier it was Oct 26. With late fee payment or Rs.100 candidates can pay up to November 8. He said that this decision was taken due to the Heavy rains and floods in the state.

JEE MAIN 2014 and JEE ADVANCED 2014 Dates announced

Joint Admission board(JAB) announced that from november 15th onwards they are inviting applications for JEE-MAIN entrance exam for the admission in to NIT's and Central sponsored organizations. JAB on fried unveiled a information brochure related to JEE-ADVANCED entrance exam for admission into IIT's.  It also mentioned the dates of JEE-MAIN, important dates related to JEE-ADVANCED, syllabus and the qualifications.

The aspirants who are going to write JEE-ADVANCED must be in the list of first 1.5 lakh rankers, this will be announced in reservation wise. The aspirants who passed inter in 2013 and after are only eligible to write JEE-ADVANCED. There is only two-time chance for aspirants to write this exam and that too exam must be written in two consecutive years. If they passed in 2013, they should be in top-20 percentile.  

2014 Cut off will be applied to those who passed inter in 2013 and about to write improvement exam. General, OBC aspirants who were born on October 1 1989 or  after are eligible,whereas SC,ST, persons with disabilities(PWD) born on October 1,1984 or after are eligible. Five examination center's are arranged in Andhra pradesh for Advanced exam. Hyderabad, nellore, Vijayawada, warangal comes under IIT-Madras zone whereas Visakhapatnam center under IIT-Kharagpur.

Know These Points Before Writing EAMCET EXAM

Only a few days left for EAMCET which is written by almost 4 Lakh candidates. For this mentally preparedness is more important than command over the subject. In this crucial period you have to increase self confidence by saying I can write the examination well. It is the better way for a better rank.

Main things which students must follow:

* Remind the topics thoroughly which you know well.

* Consider reading Telugu academy books, you can cover the topics in short period of time.

* Write three model grand tests, it will improve your self confidence.

* You can understand the Time Management well by writing grand tests. You will be prepared for leaving the questions which you don't know.

* Minimum rest is needed for the candidate because eamcet is a competitive exam which is related to brain.

* Nutritious food is so important in this period.

* This is not a better time for reading Unknown topics or questions. It unnecessarily lows your confidence levels.

* It is not compulsory to score 100% marks in EAMCET. You will get better rank if you score one question more than other candidate.

* It is better to stay away from time consuming activities like TV, Computer, Cell Phone etc..


On the Day of Examination:

Keep things with you readily which you are bringing to examination hall. The first thing is "The Application form which you filled in Online". Don't forget it. Keep it ready by attesting a photograph and a sign of gazetted officer. If you forgot the application number you can get it from the JNTU office. or you can know it from online. Better keep all things ready before the day of examination.

Things to Remember:

* Things you must have: Online field Application form, Two Blue/ Black Ball point pens. Pad, Pencil, a Glucose water bottle.

* What if i forgot Online sheet?: They will not allow into the examination hall.

* You have to reach exam hall before 45 minutes.

* After the examination begins they will not allow you if you are even one minute late. Whatever the reason may be reach early.

* After entering the exam hall first fill the OMR sheet correctly. Then check the question paper code.

* Things you have to see in OMR sheet is check your name, Father name, Date of Birth, Photograph. If you found any mistake complaint to the invigilator.

* They will give additional OMR sheet in which you have to fill on your own with pen. When filling don't make mistakes.

* Carefully read the instructions before filling OMR sheet.

* Don't use any whitener if you made any mistake as valuation is made on Machine process.

* No rough work should be written on OMR sheet. You can use question paper for it.

How to become a Physiotherapist in India

No doubt physiotherapy is one of the best areas in the healthcare sector. Physiotherapists are working in almost every department in Health sector. The demand for this course has been increasing in the recent times. Students who are choosing physiotherapy as a career has been increasing due to the Changes in Lifestyle, Need of physiotherapy services in every health department, Incremental of awareness in people over sports and Fitness.

Presently Physiotherapy is playing a key role in the Health Sector. Physiotherapists do their job when a person's Hand or Leg is fractured Physiotherapists are important for 1) In the usage of Exercise Equipments according to the need while Training. 2) Electrotherapy 3)Magnotherapy 4) Fixing Damaged muscles 5) For Ligaments and Tendons issues. Sport Persons also need Physiotherapists as trainer in Fitness centers.

There are Vocational, Bachelor Degree, PG courses available in Andhra Pradesh regarding Physiotherapy. The qualification for Vocational course is 10th. However, If one wants to start a career as Physiotherapist he should possess Bachelor Degree. This course is called as BPT(Bachelor of Physiotherapy). Thereafter different Specializations are available in MPT (Master of Physiotherapy) in PG level.

BPT(Bachelor of Physiotherapy): The qualification needed to join in BPT(Bachelor of Physiotherapy) is Intermediate(Bi.P.C) or Intermediate Vocational(Physiotherapy). Course duration is: 4 1/2 Years( With 6 Months Internship). Almost 180 Colleges are offering BPT course in india. In andhra pradesh 36 colleges offering this course. In that there is availabality of 1500 seats. There is no entrace test for admission.

Needed Skills: If one wants to success in this field few special qualities are important as Physiotherapy is a special field. He should explain the scientific reasons behind a problem and have to suggest a solution for that. He must have Physical ability to work for continuous hours. Must behave sympathetic and should show patience towards patients. Along with that they must fill courage and Self confidence in Patients. Ability of observation and the interest of learning new things are essential.

Opportunities: There is a need for physiotherapists in almost every health department. Presently physiotherapists are not available as per the demand in our country. According to one estimation one physiotherapist must be available for every 10,000 population. By taking this details in to concern we can tell that a person who completes this course will get a job in Private, Government sectors. They can perform duties as a Physiotherapists in fields like Hospitals, Orthopedic departments, Health Institutes, Defence, Health clubs, Community Health Centres, Nursing Homes, Psychiatric Rehabilitation Centers, Sports Clinics.  Sports field is also a nice option for their career. They can be Physios or Trainers for sports persons. Demand has been increasing in the recent times as awareness is increasing in people and fitness centers and health centers are being established according to their needs. Another plus point is Software companies and MNC's are operating Fitness centers. They can start their own clinic. There is nice opportunities for them in foreign countries. The demand for Physiotherapists is mainly in US, Canada and Australia.


Salaries: According to the present situation Physiotherapists getting salary of about Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 30,000 per month. Normally freshers can earn up to 10,000 to 15000 in private sectors. They are getting attractive packages in Private sector too. In central government organizations like AIIMS they are paying Rs. 30,000 monthly as starting. Thereafter salary may vary as per the designation. For senior physiotherapist it will be Rs.45,000 monthly,  For Superintendent Cadre it will be Rs.60,000 t0 70,000 monthly. One can earn upto Rs.80,000 per month after reaching Chief superintendent level. If they choose teacher profession they can earn minimum Rs.10,000 at starting and After reaching seniority level they can earn Rs.40,000 per month. Lot of physiotherapists are opting for own practice. Normally they will charge Rs.250 to 400 for one sitting.


Foreign Countries: Physiotherapy has lot of demand in Foreign countries like USA and Canada. If one wants to start career as Physiotherapist in there they must have to pass in National Licensing Examination. In some countries one can register for doing practice if they have Bachelor degree. Mainly USA, Canada, UAE, Australia are best countries for job opportunities. Coming to the salary details they can get salaries ranging from Rs.50,000 to Rs.2 Lakhs per month.

Higher Education: After BPT there is an option for doing MPT(Master of Physiotherapy) in PG Level. The entrace will be done by Counselling process. Concerned notification will be released in July/August/September. In A.P 17 Colleges are offering MPT Course in different specializations. If they have more interest they can do PHD as well.

What are the Job Types in Indian Railways?

There are two types i.e Gazetted and Non-Gazetted. Group A and B comes under Gazetted. Group C and D comes under Non-gazetted posts. Union Pubic service commission (UPSC) takes the responsibility for recruiting Groupa-A posts. The recruitment for Group-B posts from Group-C posts will be based on Promotions. When we look closely on Category wise of Selection Procedure:

For Safety Category Posts like Probationary Assistant, Assistant Station Master, and Assistant Loco pilot has Two Phase of selection procedure one is written test and the other is Aptitude test. They will recruit only when the concerned person achieves merit.
For Non-Technical category posts like Clerks, Traffic and Commercial Apprentice, Junior Accounts, Enquiry cum Reservation Assistants also has two phase of selection procedure. They will confirm recruitment which will be based on Merit achieved in 2nd Phase. Clerical Cadre must qualify in Typing Test.

With this exam there is a chance for completing your Mechanical Engineering Degree for free. After the completion of the course you can get Class-1 level Job in Railways. In the Course tenure they will provide training in London for one year. Birla Institute of Technology (BIT) Mesra, awards a Mechanical Engineering certificate for you. Selection will be based on Written test and Interview procedure. Qualification: Inter (MPC) passed with 50% of marks. Written Test: There will be 3 papers for 600 Marks. Paper-1 - General Ability Test, Paper-2 - Physical Science, Paper-3 - Math’s. 200 Marks for each paper. 200 Marks will be allotted for Interview.

In this situation they will detect the vacant posts by zone wise and they will allot posts for the concerned persons belonging to that particular zone. They are providing an opportunity to opt for writing in official language belonging to that zone. In the past question paper used to have only in Hindi and English. That means they are providing an opportunity for you to write in your own language. But the candidates have to confirm at the time of applying.  By this procedure it will be easier for local candidates who face problems with Hindi and English while writing the exam.

Selection Procedure: Will be based according on Written Test, Physical Tests, Medical Tests and Interview.

Written Test: Written Test will Consist of Two papers. Paper 1 and Paper 2 respectively. They will conduct the exam on the same day i.e one in the morning and the other in the Afternoon. Questions will be asked in English and Hindi Languages. In the Paper 1 questions will be for 250 Marks asked on General Ability and Intelligence subjects. In Paper 2 They will ask Questions for 200 Marks on General Studies, Essay, and Comprehension.

You have to score minimum qualify marks in each paper. If you got the qualify marks in Paper-1 then only they will move to Paper-2 for Evaluation. There will be Negative Marking for wrong answers marked by a candidate.

Medical Tests will be conducted for the candidates who will pass in Physical Efficiency tests. Interviews will be conducted for the candidates who will pass in Medical Tests. Preparation:

Paper 1: In this few questions will be asked on Mathematics and Different Social elements to know the candidates General awareness. For this you have to read 8,9,10th class Text books of Maths, Science and Social studies of NCERT.
Questions regarding on Current Affairs will be asked in Paper-1. To face this questions you have to know about the famous persons who got awards in Arts, Music, Poetry and Games.  Should know the Main Agreements which happened between different countries. Mainly you should know about all the Agreements between India and the other nations. Have to remember the Main Events which happened around the Globe.

You can easily recognize the answers for Politics, Economy, Geography if you read NCERT High school social books and concerned subjects of NCERT 11th and 12th class books.

To answer questions for reasoning which will be asked in Mental Ability and the Aptitude questions you have to buy the concerned books which will be available in the market.

You can be able to answer the questions for General science questions if you read the latest developments mainly on IT, Bio Technology, and Environment related subjects.

Paper-2: You have to write the Essay questions in Part-A in this Paper. To write the Answers for this questions you have to read the books of 8,9,10th social studies and the Subjects of 11,12th classes(Economy, Geography, Politics, History) thoroughly. You should practice writing essay by choosing one Topic daily. Don't write everything which you know for the questions what they asked. Write within the topic. If that topic contains Popular quotations and Calculations please add them. If that topic has latest developments add them also then the Essay will be Perfect. Students should allot more time for the Essay preparation. They have to master the Grammar skills, construction of a sentence to score good marks.

Part-B contains comprehension, Grammar...Like this the questions will be asked to know your proficiency in English language. Read some good English grammar book. Practice daily writing Grammar, constructing sentences, comprehension etc( Mainly focus on Synonyms, Antonyms, Articles, Prepositions, Verbs and Tenses..).

Physical Efficiency Test:

The physical efficiency test of Assistant Commandant will be some what easier than the Sub Inspector exam which will be conducted state wide. But you should prepare for physical efficiency test from now onwards along with exam preparation. Try running 100 Meters race daily 3 times and 800 Meters race for 3 times. Check after one month that how much time are you able to run. It is wrong to think to run a distance in the given time. Then you have to face problems physically.

Practice Long Jump, Short Put from now onwards. These too are easy goals. It is not so hard to achieve the wanted goals for your examination in one month if you set short term goals and keep on practicing. Practice long jump on the Land which have enough sand.

Interview:

In Interview they will know your Mental Ability. You have to know the basic knowledge of BSF, CISF, SSB, CRPF, ITBP. Should know thoroughly about what service you chose. There is a chance for asking question related to Police Deparment and Defece field. So get the basic knowledge about these areas. If you are honest and giving answers perfectly it is easy to score good marks in Interview.

The questions will broadly cover the subject in its social, economic and political aspects. This shall also include the areas of growth of nationalism and freedom
movement.

6. Indian and World Geography:
The questions shall cover the physical, social and economic aspects of geography pertaining to India and the World.

Paper II : General Studies, Essay and Comprehension


Part-A – Essay questions which are to be answered in long narrative form either in Hindi or English totalling 80 Marks. The indicative topics are modern Indian history especially of the freedom struggle, geography, polity and economy, knowledge of security and human rights issues, and analytical ability.

Part-B – Comprehension, précis writing, other communications/language skills – to be attempted in English only (Marks 120) – The topics are Comprehension passages, précis writing, developing counter arguments, simple grammer and other aspects of language testing.
