Qualification:
For the 11,12,13,14 code posts, Must have passed in Degree from recognized university. As of on. July 1 2016. For SC/ST Category candidates, They must have completed Intermediate and Pursued the Degree. Passing a Degree is must for Deputy Jailer and Assistant Matron Posts.
For Women, The will have 33.33 Percent reservation in Civil Posts and 20 Percent Reservation in AR Posts. In case the eligible women candidates are not available, the reserved vacancies will be filled by the eligible male candidates.
Age Limit:
For the 11,12,13,14 code posts, their age should be 21-27 years, as of July 1 2016. For the Post of Deputy Jailer it is 21-30 years. For Assistant Matron Posts it is 21-25 Years. In case of BC, S.C and S.T candidates the age relaxation is 5 years. In case of any govt. employees age relaxation will be applied according to their service.
Physical Measurements:
Men: For 11,12,13 and 14 posts, Minimum height should be of 167.6 Cm or 5 ft.4.9 inch. Chest measurements must not be below 86.3 Cm. If taken full breath, it must increase another 5 cms. If the candidates belong to S.T(Scheduled Tribe'S) from Vizianagaram, Vishakapatnam,East Godavari and West Godavari. Their Height should be 160 cm. and The chest must be 80 cm. If taken full breath it must increase another 3 cm.
Women: For 11,12,13 and 14 code posts, the minimum height must be 152.5 cm. The weight should be 40 Kilo's. If the candidates belong to S.T(Scheduled Tribe') from Srikalulam, Vizianagaram, Vishakapatnam, East Godavari, West Godavari the height should be 150 c.m, the weight should be 38 kilos.
For the Deputy jailer posts the height must be 168 cm. Chest should not below 87 cm. If taken full breath it must increase another 5 cm. If the candidates belong to S.T(Scheduled Tribe') from Srikalulam, Vizianagaram, Vishakapatnam, East Godavari, West Godavari the minimum height should be 164 cm. Chest should not be below 83 cm. if taken full breath it must increase another 5 cm.
For Assistant Matron posts the minimum height must be 153 cm. Weight should be 45.5 kilos.
The Selection procedure: the selection of candidates will be based upon the Preliminary written test, Physical Measurement test (PMT), Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and the Final Written Test.
Preliminary Test: Firstly Candidates must attend the Preliminary Written Test. This test will be in Two Papers and will be in Objective Type. Three hours will be allotted for each paper.
Paper 1: Arithmetic and Test of Reasoning/Mental Ability ( 100 Questions). 100 Marks.
Paper 2: General Studies ( 100 questions). 100 Marks.
To qualify in this exam the candidates must pass with qualifying marks. For OC Candidates it is 40 Percent Marks. For BC Candidates it is 35 Percent Marks and For SC, ST, EX Servicemen Candidates it is 30 Percent Marks. The question paper will be in the medium of English/Telugu/Urdu. The marks obtained in this exam will not be taken into consideration for final selection. This Exam is only eligibility test.
PMT, PET: Physical Measurement tests will be conducted for the candidates who qualified in the preliminary written test with the eligible marks. Candidates with said Physical Measurements have to attend for Physical Efficiency test (PET). There will be 3 events. That is 100 Meters Run, Long Jump. 1600 Meters Run.
