• Assistant professor
• Age: 38 for OBC 40 for SC/ST/PH
• Pay: PB-3 (15,600-39,100)+ AGP- 6000 Minimum Pay: 20140/-( 16,900 for M.Tech)+AGP+DA etc.
• Associate professor
• Age: 43 for OBC 45 for SC/ST/PH
• Pay: PB-4 (37,400-67,000) + AGP-9000 Minimum Pay:  40890/-+AGP+DA etc
• Professor
• Age: 53 for OBC 55 for SC/ST/PH
• Pay: PB-4 (37,400-67,000) + AGP-10000 Minimum Pay:  43000/-+AGP+DA etc.
• Qualification:
• PhD degree with First Class or equivalent at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch.  (Good academic record throughout is desirable)
