Being cautious is a good habit for all but there is a line of seperation/limit for being cautious. When this limit is crossed it tends to over-cautiousness. Being over-cautious may turn worse in some situations. Test whether you are cautious or over-cautious by answering urself the below questions. Questions may look wierd but try to answer them with involvement.
1) You have a purse in pocket and you will be constantly checking it .... whether it is there or its being stolen? a) YES b) NO
2) While filling a form you'll think more than twice to fill it without mistakes ... but being over-cautious you commit more mistakes in-turn? a) YES b) NO
3)You'll go early for a cinema-hall to purchase tickets thinking that they might be soldout, hence waste of time a) YES b) NO
4) You'll lock your door and before leaving from your home ... you'll check more than twice whether the door is locked properly or not? a) YES b) NO

6) You'll deny your family members in wearing gold/precious ornaments? a) YES b) NO
Conclusion : If the answers are mostly (a) then you should remove the word over from Over-Cautious. Hope it helped you. : )
