Tea Board, a Statutory Body under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, wants to engage following Posts for its Darjeeling Tea Research & Development Centre located at Kurseong, West Bengal:

• Scientists: 04 Posts 
• Pay (Consolidated): 35,000/- (Rupees Thirty Five Thousand only) per month.
• Age Limit: 40 years as on 29.04.2011
• Disciplines: 
• BIOCHEMIST
• Required Educational Qualification and Experience : M.Sc. (Agri.)/M.Sc. in Biochemistry/M.Sc. (Botany), Ph.D., 5 years’ Research Experience in the specialized field/subject in tea flavour chemistry or in plantation crops as evidenced by publication of research work.
• AGRONOMIST / SOIL SCIENTIST
• Required Educational Qualification and Experience : M.Sc. (Agri.)/M.Sc. in Agronomy/M.Sc. in Soil Science, Ph.D., 5 years’ Research Experience in the specialized field/subject in tea or in plantation crops after obtaining Ph.D. degree.
• PLANT BREEDER / BIOTECHNOLOGIST
• Required Educational Qualification and Experience : M.Sc. (Agri.)/M.Sc. in Plant Breeding/ M.Sc. in Biotechnology /M.Sc. (Botany), Ph.D., 5 years’ Research Experience in the specialized field/subject in tea breeding or in plantation crops breeding.
• PLANT PROTECTION SPECIALIST
• Required Educational Qualification and Experience : M.Sc. (Agri.)/M.Sc. in Plant Pathology/ M.Sc. in Entomology/ M.Sc. (Botany), Ph.D., 5 years’ Research Experience in the specialized field/subject in tea diseases and pest control or in plantation crops diseases and pests.
• RESEARCH OFFICER: 01 Post
• Required Educational Qualification : M.Sc. (1st Class) in Life Sciences / Agriculture with working experiences in research projects.
• Age: Around 45 years, may be relaxed in case of experienced candidates.
• Remuneration: Rs. 25,000/- per month (Consolidated)
