Job Role: Power Electronics Developer
Job Summary :

In-depth understanding of power electronics fundamentals.
Hands-on Knowledge in designing various AC-DC and DC-DC power converters.
Hands-on designing experience in magnetic component designs for above mentioned applications.
Should have knowledge in board design for power applications.
Good Knowledge in 8-bit and 16-bit IC based embedded design for power applications.
Design (Including layout floor plan) and verification of analog IC modules like OPAmps, Voltage Regulators, Band gaps, PLL components and PLLs, Data converters (ADCs and DACs) and analog components for serial and parallel I/Os (USB, HDMI, PCI and others).
The person will be responsible to define the design problem from given spec and circuit architecture mathematically and create robust, reusable (For different specification or technology) design and layout.
Design Engineer should have worked on hands on design of OPAmps, Voltage regulators and such basic analog designs. Exposure to PLLs, ADC, DAC, power management circuits and interface circuits is a plus.
Should have very good understanding of analog design basics like transfer functions, use of bode plots, stability analysis, device noise and device level understanding. Should have good mathematical problem solving attitude.
Knowledge of simulators and verification techniques is a plus. Exposure to schematic editors like virtuosos or CD, spice simulator and matlab is must.

Power supply designs involving Buck, Boost & Fly back topologies, Half Bridge, Full Bridge configurations.
Power MOSFET/IGBT/SCR/TRAIC switching circuits.
Capacitive and Inductive filter circuits.
Isolated/Non isolated power conversions.
Battery Charging circuit design for Various Battery Topologies
Design concepts ranging Low Power conversion circuits to Mid Power conversion circuits
Photo voltaic Cell concepts and MPPT power extraction techniques.
Circuit and Board (PCB) design concepts.
Good knowledge on 8051/ ARM microcontroller based board design and software development concepts.
Load & Power Management concepts.
Analog & Digital mixed signal and Power circuits design.
Problem solving techniques for Switching noise suppressions and EMI issues
Constant Current and Constant Voltage control schemes.
Synchronous rectification methods.
Designing for global power supply efficiency standards for standby power consumption and efficiency.
Design and selection of Inductors and high frequency transformer.
Knowledge in TI, Fairchild, Power Integrations SMPS controllers.
EMC Test and troubleshooting experience including Surge, EFT, ESD, conducted and radiated emissions and susceptibility to IEC and FCC standards.
