The screening of the film 'Cameraman Ganga tho Rambabu' has been affected in some parts of Telangana region.
A committee which was appointed by the
government has recommended some cuts and according to their
recommendation director Puri Jagannadh has deleted as many as 12 scenes
from the movie.
However, the Telangana Rastra Samithi
leaders are not satisfied with that. TRS on Monday filed a complaint
with the Banjara Hills police station against Puri Jagannadh seeking
action against him saying some scenes have hurt the sentiments of
Telanagana people.
Stating that the director has made an
attempt to divide people on caste lines, TRS leaders in their complaint,
accused him of provoking students and sought action against him.
However, Puri Jagannadh has appealed to TRS leaders to allow screening
of the film as the objectionable scenes were already deleted. But TRS
leaders charged Puri with snubbing the movement on separate Telangana
and demanded a complete ban on the film.
