Can Mahesh Babu set the trend?

Making sequels to successful films has been proved super successful in world cinema and even in Bollywood. Somehow sequels didn't click in Telugu cinema. Shankardada MBBS was a big hit, but the sequel failed to make an impact unlike Bollywood's Munnabhai series. Munnabhai second installment was a big hit than the first one.

When a sequel was made to hugely successful Arya, it was not received well by our audience. Even Ram Gopal Varma failed to set the trend with Money sequel. When Raktha Charitra was released in two parts, second volume had been out rightly rejected at the box office. A successful film's sequels usually do well because of the brand value. Bollywood has been making so many sequels and all of them have been successful.

Someone has to come up with a solid film to set the trend in Tollywood. Looks like Mahesh Babu has put up his hand for the cause. Srinu Vytla and Mahesh Babu are in plans to make a sequel to Dookudu as per the news circles. If they could break the jinx, then we could see more and more sequels in making. Good luck Mahesh!

Yet another mega threat for Raviteja!

   
 Raviteja is one of the most bankable stars in Telugu cinema that has been labeled as the minimum guarantee hero. Of late his films are not living up to the reputation and he has to prove his mettle with Daruvu to clear all the doubts about him. However, it is not going to be easy going for him as there is so much competition at the moment.

Currently Gabbar Singh is on fire and has been toppling all the records. Chances are unlikely for the film to slow down in two weeks say trade experts. So Raviteja's film will have to sustain the heat of Gabbar Singh to make an impression. But that isn't easy at all. Remember, Raviteja's Anjaneyulu was released when Magadheera was in full flow.

Despite an average content, Anjaneyulu ended up as a big loser. Is that going to repeat again for Daruvu? And making the things even troublesome,  Rajamouli's Eega is slated for release on 30th May, which is exactly five days away from Daruvu release date. Let's see if Raviteja could pull off a hit amidst severe competition or not?

NABARD has issued an advertisement in the news papers for General Public regarding the new procedure for recruitment of Officers and Assistants in Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) (Gramin Bank). The advertisement says :

Government of India, Ministry of Finance, Department of Financial Services has decided to introduce a Common Written Examination (CWE) to be conducted by Institute of Banking Personal Selection (IBPS) for recruitment of Officers and Office Assistants (Multipurpose) in RRBs. The IBPS will conduct the examination and issue a valid Score Card to all the qualifying candidates, which will be pre-requisite for candidates to to apply for above mentioned cadres in the RRBs, when the RRBs advertise the recruitment. Details can had from Employment News and other news papers, as also from the web sites of IBPS and concerned RRBs.

Thus it shows that Government has decided to make a common examination for all the candidates want to apply in Gramin Bank, like it is currently applying for most of the Nationalised Public Sector Banks. Telugu Desam Party is Like a Temple For Me: Jr.NTR

Actor Jr NTR on Saturday said that he would stand by Telugu Desam, the party founded by his grandfather N T Rama Rao and work for its success. “I am surprised that lot of things are talked about me and linked to me without my knowledge. I don’t know if I should react or not. I don’t have differences with the TD leadership or anyone else,” he said.

The actor added, “I want to make my stand clear. I will stand by the TD, founded by my grandfather. The party is like a temple for me. I, my father and other family members are indebted to him for our growth,” he told a TV channel. The actor added that he had nothing to do with the TD Vijayaw-ada Urban leader Vall-abhneni Vamsi episode. Mr Vamsi is considered close to the actor.
