Akkineni Nageshwara Rao was conferred Padma Vibhushan award for 2010 by the President of India. The other names who were approved by the President of India for the conferment of Padma Awards-2010 were Cricketer VVS Laxman, educationist Koneru Ramakrishna Rao, Professor Pullela Ramachandrudu.
Playback singer SP Balasubramaniam and actress Waheeda Rahman conferred with Padma Bhushan. Rama Rao got Padma Vibhushan in the field of science and technology. GV Krishna Reddy and Dr K Anji Reddy are also in the list who got Padma Bhushan awards from Andhra Pradesh.
